This module measures distance using ultrasonic waves. When a 10 µs TTL trigger pulse is applied, the sensor emits eight 40 kHz ultrasonic bursts and waits for the echo. The duration of the high-level echo output corresponds to the time taken for the pulse to return, allowing the distance to be calculated using the speed of sound (340 m/s). It is widely used in robotics, obstacle detection, and automation projects.
